The Final Podcast!!!

So I've just finished uploading my final podcast! I've got to say that this one took me a little longer than I would have liked it to. The main problem was that 10 minutes was a little constraining considering the amount of information I was trying to cram all into one time frame. My original first draft was 19:30, which was almost double what I needed to end up at. However, with a lot of editing, and creative cutting, I was able to get the final product down to just under 10 minutes.

Currently YouTube is being stupid and will not allow me to link to my video, but as soon as that is resolved, it will be posted.

Justin, great job on your final podcast!! Your topic sounds really interesting and that's cool that it's going to be your thesis topic possibly. Everything was done really well, the light and audio were great and you covered the material very well.

I like the background with your degree on the wall; it gives credibility. The animated slides are cool! This is good research. I appreciated the casual conversation, as if you were talking to someone face to face. You tie in this podcast to previous ones, and you speak with confidence and knowledge. Breaking up the conversation with music before, during slide transitions, and at the end add interest and variety to your podcast.

Justin--

Interesting topic. Blogs are an interesting and unexplored area of new media. I think your combination of source credibility and presence is a unique way to examine blog video. I wonder if these four assignments had any impact on your thinking. :) Overall, your podcast was edited well. The animation on your slides helped keep the viewer engaged. I also liked that your carried your logo through all of your podcasts. The only question I had was what all of the groups in your experiment were. However, I imagine some of them ended up on the editing room "floor". Otherwise, I liked the podcast and the blue shirt you chose.

Justin-
Sorry to hear that YouTube has given you so much trouble, apparently at some point my video just disappeared and then reappeared. I enjoyed your podcast- you had a very good pace, slow enough to be understood, but fast enough that I wasn’t drifting off. Your background was great, once again! I like your diploma frame, looks very nice. (Mine is still in the folder I received it in a few years ago—I need to get a move on having it framed) I also noticed your blue shirt stands out in contrast to the colors and it looks nice, brings the focus in on you. Your transitions were all so fast- it definitely caught my attention and worked to keep me focused. Good luck with your participants, I hope you can get 180- oh and the visual of the guy and the computer was great. It made me laugh for some reason. I enjoyed your podcast, good luck with the research. I enjoyed the special thanks to Justin Keene at the end-

Justin,

Nice work. I really enjoyed the variety of transitions you used as well as the slides with a moving graphic, one that was not too distracting either. As others have mentioned, your lighting and editing are great and the color combination of your blue shirt with the white background added a nice separation.

Your topic sounds very interesting. I like the idea of studying credibility, if any, behind blogs. I hope you get all 180 participants you want for your studies. I also like how you separated each section out with slides. Thus allowing the viewer to know exactly what you are talking about in each section. Tying this paper/research overview to other podcasts was also a nice touch. Great job on this podcast, and good luck with your research. I look forward to hearing about your results.

Justin,

I had a same wired experience that you've have. I had to cut my video, and I think it was harder than to expand.
Anyway, new media, but issues about credibility...interesting topic...!

You clearly state the key point about your research topic. It was really good combine the theory and literatures with examples. I like you put the example of SAM.

Also, on the method section, you clearly stated your method. I'm not familiar with the experiment method, but I can draw the outline of your method.

I really enjoyed this podcast and last three podcast as well. You did great job. I think it will be a great topic for your thesis. I hope that everything go well and good luck!

Justin, I liked your slide transition animations. Your research interest seems very interesting and I hope you find what you are looking for with it. The only thing I noticed is that when you were talking about presence and the character inside of the television, you had the directions mixed up. Not a big deal though... Otherwise, good final podcast.

Scott.

Hi Justin. Just finished watching your podcast. I liked your topic, it was something I have always been interested in but never THAT interested that I would research it :) I liked your explanation of source credibility and presence. I was quite surprised to find how blogs are narrowing the gap with traditional print as a credible medium. Who would have thought this about 10 years ago? I liked the camera angle where you talked off screen. I liked your position in the frame. It gave the viewer a touch of voyeurism, as I felt I'm hearing a private conversation between someone and you. Overall, I think you did a solid and I enjoyed it very much.Great job!

This podcast was filmed and edited very well. It was very clean and the lighting was perfect. I liked the animated slides, they kept my interest and were quite entertaining. Your topic is interesting and your confidence throughout the podcast shows your knowledge about the subject. I also liked how you used music throughout the podcast and your background worked well with what you were wearing. Overall, great job on this final podcast!

You did a great job on your final podcast. I liked the diploma in the background, it was a nice shot. I especially enjoyed the animated slides. They really jazzed up the cast. You have an interesting topic, and I thought you covered it well. I have to agree with the rest of the class in that your audio and lighting were very good. Overall you did you really good job. I am glad, however that you cut your cast done from 19 minutes. Thats a lot of cast to watch.

Justin,
Nice job on podcast #4. Your informatiion is very good and thorough, and definately somthing that could move on to something bigger and better. Your audio was good, as always... as well as your lightening and framing... Overall you've just been really good at this stuff! Great job, again.
